You do not need to memorize a script before a founder story interview. Preparation is still useful — it simply looks more like remembering than rehearsing.
Think through five moments
- The moment you decided the business needed to exist.
- A difficult early lesson that changed your approach.
- A customer interaction that reminded you why the work matters.
- A belief you hold that is different from the usual industry answer.
- What you want the next customer to understand before they call.
Bring details, not perfect sentences
Names, places, objects, decisions, and specific memories create better answers than polished taglines. The Filmhaus team will help connect those details to the larger message.
Plan for a normal conversation
Wear something that feels like you, leave extra time before the interview, and expect pauses or repeated questions. A calm set gives us room to find the answer that sounds right rather than forcing the first take.
Know what happens next
We combine the interview with footage of the work, place, products, clients, or team. The final film is shaped in the edit, so no single answer has to carry the whole story.
