Josh and Sofia are the founders and owners of Filmhaus. We have been making films since 2013, beginning with Alma Films. That work taught us how to earn trust quickly, listen closely, and find the honest story in front of the camera.
Today, Filmhaus is a founder-led production studio based in Maple Grove, Minnesota, with a growing team. Josh and Sofia shape the creative approach and standards; producers, cinematographers, editors, photographers, and other trusted collaborators join based on what each story needs. We create founder stories, brand films, and client stories for small businesses — filming across Minneapolis, the Twin Cities, and nationwide.

Common questions
Who writes the script?
You do not need to arrive with a script. Story discovery and interview preparation are part of the process; if a project needs a fully scripted voiceover or campaign script, we scope that separately.
Do I need to be on camera?
Most clients are, but not always. If your story works without you on screen, we'll plan for that.
What's included in the price?
Every package includes a half-day shoot, story discovery, filming and audio capture, full edit, color grading, sound mix, music (web & social), 2 revision rounds, and Vimeo delivery in ~2 weeks. The Founder Story Film also includes 3 vertical cutdowns. See Stories & Pricing for deliverables.
Is sales tax included?
Prices on the site are before tax. Applicable Minnesota sales tax is added to your package, add-ons, and deposit on the final invoice we confirm at booking.
Rescheduling
Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to move a shoot date. Cancellations within 48 hours of the shoot may forfeit the deposit — we'll confirm deposit terms when you book.
